He said he is not looking for a serious relationship and wants to date with no commitment. Ok am I wrong or does this mean he just wants sex? What in the world does that mean? I have been out of the dating scene a very long time and have no clue other than he wants sex. And wants it with anyone he can meet.. And Im not into that type of dating. He said he liked me and he flirted with me. But when I flirted back he said I need to chill on the exuberance..... If he is just getting out there again, it very well may be true that he doesn't know. But if it is and he literally gets what he's asking for, he may find out that no strings is NOT what he wants, but again, not likely. If the two of you have different relationship goals, you might want to move on. It means what it says. Not looking for serious relationship... Sex part of dating... Being in a marriage as I was I certainly want to date someone and make sure he or she is a person I am compatible with and enjoy being with in order to commit. I certainly understand the OP concerns but I guess I have come to the conclusion to just go with the flow and enjoy the persons company as he has seemed to enoy yours. I see dating as getting to know a person - and I want to know them before I have sex with them, so my dating is dating with no committment and no sex, until I find someone who's the only one I want to see exclusively. Only he knows what he really meant. Also, I don't know why he made the 'exhuberance' comment; was your flirting more physical than his? Or did he perhpas get the feeling that you really liked him a lot and would be the type to want a committment? Or is he just a bit strange? Without asking him what he meant, it's hard to second-guess someone. But if he's not interested, then don't waste another second thinking about it... But he did not get handsie with me. But I know he wants sex. I know that is part of what he wants. That's what makes me uncomfortable. Ewww is what comes to mind and hurt of course.
